Giorgio Maltese

Young guitarist Giorgio Maltese discovered the marranzano during the first edition of the MWF in 2005. Since then, he has been passionate about the world of music and traditional instruments, dedicating himself to field research and quickly becoming one of the most interesting representatives of the new generation of musicians involved in the revival of traditional Sicilian repertoires. Thanks to his research, the festival will also feature the presence of traditional players like Pippo Giacca from Linguaglossa and Luciano Occhino from Letojanni.
