Danibal

Born in 1977 in Germany, Danibal has been living in the Netherlands for over 20 years, where he is one of the leading enthusiasts and players of jaw harps. He approaches them playfully and intuitively, creating minimalist music with connections to Alpine folk, concrete music, and (harmonic) singing.
He has been involved in various projects and cross-disciplinary collaborations. He is the singer for the band “Dial Prisko” in Utrecht (NL) and founded the duo “Plunk” in 2002 with Dutch comedian Ramon Kool, perhaps the first combination of beatbox/jaw harp. In 2008, he also founded the improvisation and live looping duo “Heug” with musician Jan Schellink.
