Gerd Conradt

Gerd Conradt is a German filmmaker, conceptual artist, and musician specializing in Jew’s harp (maultrommel) and throat singing in the khoomei style. His documentary on the Siberian musician Spiridon Shishigin, produced in 1996, has helped introduce the depth of the musical tradition of the Sakha-Yakutia Republic to audiences in Europe.
