Five days and five nights in eco-camping, between intensive workshops, concerts, excursions, swimming pool and local food. The Summer Retreat is the residential heart of the Marranzano World Fest: a slow time, made of learning, collective creation and outdoor life. Masterclass of kanjira, frame drums, flutes and Jew’s harps. Concerts at dawn and sunset, sound circles, evening jams. A temporary community based on rhythm and listening, just a dive away from the swimming pool.

Etna Sound Excursion & Stargazing
Not just an excursion, but an experience that intertwines nature and music: walking on Etna, listening to its voice and that of the instruments that resonate under the stars. A short and accessible walk (about 1.5 km on the outward journey and the same number on the return journey) will take us to the heart of the Etna landscape, just before sunset. The naturalistic guide Emilio Messina will tell the geological and botanical history of the volcano, among lava flows and secrets of the vegetation.
Taking advantage of the unique acoustics of a natural lava amphitheater, we will allow ourselves a moment of musical improvisation open to all participants.
As darkness falls, the tale will pass to the sky: Andrea Orlando will guide us between constellations and stars, for an experience of dissemination and wonder straddling the earth and the universe.
👉 Useful tips: light mountain clothing (long trousers, closed shoes, sweatshirt or jacket for the evening), water (at least 1 liter per person), a mat for lying down to observe the stars, a flashlight, light musical instruments to use with moderation.
To confirm the booking it is necessary to pay the participation fee of € 30.00, which includes a rustic and convivial refreshment on Etna for all participants.

The 16th edition of Marranzano World Fest celebrates its 20th anniversary with a full week immersive retreat dedicated to the study and exploration of musical and instrumental traditions from around the world: from the Mediterranean to India, including Oceania and Austria, without ever neglecting the deeply rooted Sicilian traditions.
An immersive experience among frame drums and jaw harps, ancestral sounds and Indian classical tradition, local cuisine and relaxation, in an ancient farmhouse with a pool, surrounded by greenery, just 3 minutes from the sea.
